Introduction
It is immense pleasure to present the annual report of “Kadamba Charitable Foundation” for the year 2016-17. During the reporting report period the following activities have been carried out.
1. Family Counsilling Center (Mahila Sahayavani)
Since the women and the child development is a priority service sector of the Kadamba. We have started “Family Counseling Centre” 2007 at “Kumta” of Uttara Kannada” District.
“Family Counseling Centre” is Consists of one Counselor (Female) and Three Social Worker (Two Female & One Male). The centre is running 24 X 7.
Now our centre consider as one of the best counseling centre in our region. And we did counseling about more than 725 woman and their families respective successfully.
And the centre is funded by “Women and Child Development Department” Govt. of Karnataka. Total expenditure incurred during the financial year is Rs. 5,07,215.00
2. Health Referal Services:
Kadamba has started health referral service on 2002. As on 31.3.2016 kadamba has sent 5895 patients to KSHEMA Hospital, Mangalore at free of cost.
3. Lac Cultivation:
Kadamba has introduced Lac cultivation first time in Karnataka with association of IINRG Ranchi, UAS Dharwad and KVK Sirsi. For the financial year 2016-17 Kadamba has conducted 19 taluka level seminar and 25 block level seminars in Uttara Kannada district.
During the reporting period more than 805 farmers are doing the Lac cultivation.
During the financial year NABARD has been sanctioned 50 one day “LAC” awareness programme in Uttara Kannada District. And 80% of the programme i.e. 40 one day programme has been completed successfully. Also NABARD has been released 60 % of the grant amount Rs. 1,80,900.00
